2016 Research and Teaching Awards: The School salutes the excellence of its staff members

HEC Montréal rewarded its staff for their excellence at the 2016 Research and Teaching Awards, on November 30.

13 awards were presented at the event, including the grand prizes to Georges Dionne (Pierre Laurin Research Award) and Jean Talbot (Jean Guertin Teaching Award).

Honorary professors

In keeping with tradition, the ceremony was preceded by a tribute to the professors who have retired over the past year, to officially grant them honorary professor status and underscore their contribution to the school. These new honorary professors are: Jean-Pierre Béchard (Management), Louis Jacques Filion (Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Aline Girard (Accounting), Claude Laroche (Accounting), Maurice Marchon (Applied Economics), Louise Martel (Accounting), Danielle Morin (Accounting) and Silvana Pozzebon (Human Resources Management).

 

Contribution to the School’s renown

Esdras Minville Award

For the remarkable contribution made by a professor to HEC Montréal’s renown, through his or her activities and achievements in the academic, professional and public spheres over the past three years.
