Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management: several of the School’s professors and students honoured

In addition to the prestigious award presented to Senior Researcher Danny Miller at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management, a number of the School’s professors and PhD students were recognized for the quality of their publications and reviews in their respective divisions. Congratulations to them all!

 

Best Paper Awards

Management Consulting division: 

Jean-François Harvey (thesis supervised by Professor Patrick Cohendet, postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Business School) and Alaric Bourgoin (Assistant Professor, Management), for their paper entitled “Expertise-as-Performance: Dealing with the Learning-Credibility Tension in Management Consulting”

Organization and Management Theory division (Social and Environmental Practices category): 

Anna Kim (Assistant Professor, Management), for “Tea Time: Temporal Coordination for Sustainable Development,” co-authored with Pratima Bansal (Western University, Ivy Business School) and Helen Haugh (University of Cambridge)

Managerial and Organizational Cognition division, Annual Meeting Best Papers (Proceedings): 

Fernando-Freitas Fachin and his thesis supervisor, Ann Langley (Full Professor, Management), for their paper entitled “Organizational Identity Work in an Emerging Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Network”

Best Reviewer Award

Operations Management division:  

Maricela Arellano Caro (thesis supervised by Professors Louis Hébert and Silvia Ponce)
