François Carrillat named Best Reviewer at the ANZMAC 2013 Conference

Associate Professor François Carrillat (Marketing) won not only the Best Reviewer award in the “Marketing Communications & Promotion” category, but also the overall title of Best Reviewer at the entire 2013 Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference (ANZMAC), beating out some fifteen other international competitors. ANZMAC, welcoming about 350 participants from over 30 countries every year, is the largest university marketing conference in the southern hemisphere. This year’s edition was held at the University of Auckland.

Professor Carrillat, who holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of South Florida, an MSc in Management from the Université de Savoie and a graduate diploma in Applied Marketing from the Université Aix-Marseille III, has been with HEC Montréal since 2005. He specializes in sponsorships, celebrity spokespeople and consumer behaviour. He has written many papers and has a number of awards to his credit, including the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Emerald Literati Network in 2012 and 2013, the Young Researcher Award from HEC Montréal in 2009, the Best Reviewer award from the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice in 2008, and the Best Paper Award from that same journal in 2009.
