Awards for three students from the Conseil québécois de la franchise

January 24, 2014

At its 13th Maillons d’or gala award ceremony on January 20, the Conseil québécois de la franchise (CQF) (the Quebec franchise council) handed out two Bell Media/CQF bursaries worth $2,500 each to HEC Montréal students for their innovative entrepreneurial projects. The award winners were Rodolphe Barrere and Louis Delaoustre (BBA), co-founders of PotLoc, and Piedad Sáenz (Master of Management in Cultural Enterprises), founder of LadyBooks.

PotLoc is a new Montréal firm that gives people in the community a chance to have a say in creating neighbourhoods that suit them. It lets Montrealers vote on the stores they need in their neighbourhood. LadyBooks is a new literary agency that represents local and foreign publishers in the Spanish-speaking market, specializing exclusively in children’s literature.

Congratulations to all three student entrepreneurs!
