Our MBA makes the top 50 on the Poets & Quants list of international programs again
December 18, 2014
For the fifth straight year, HEC Montréal is in the top 50 on the Poets & Quants list of the best international MBA programs (outside the United States). The original and daring list is put together using a system that takes into account quantitative and qualitative data (surveys of corporate recruiters, MBA graduates and deans, university publications, employment statistics, graduates’ salaries, etc.) and the strengths and flaws of the four major international rankings published by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, The Economist and The Financial Times.
Poets & Quants created this list to eliminate statistical distortions among these rankings, because they measure very different things. For instance, while the Bloomberg Businessweek list is based largely on students’ and recruiters’ satisfaction, the Forbes and Financial Times versions emphasize students’ return on investment, and The Economist’s list evaluates a large number of points, largely centred around students’ main reasons for taking an MBA.
