MBA: For the fourth straight year in the Poets & Quants top 50

January 10, 2014

For the fourth straight year, HEC Montréal made the top 50 non-US MBA programs of 2013 as ranked by Poets & Quants. The original and daring list is put together using a system that takes into account quantitative and qualitative data (surveys of corporate recruiters, MBA graduates and deans, university publications, employment statistics, graduates’ salaries, etc.) and the strengths and flaws of the four major international rankings published by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, The Economist and The Financial Times

Poets & Quants created this list to eliminate statistical distortions among these rankings, because they measure very different things. For instance, while the Bloomberg Businessweek list is based largely on students’ and recruiters’ satisfaction, the Forbes and Financial Times versions emphasize students’ return on investment, and The Economist’s list evaluates a large number of points, largely centred around students’ main reasons for taking an MBA.
