Four MSc students take 2nd place in an international human resources competition

November 20, 2013

MSc students Miryah Lévesque Damphousse, Anne-Sophie Masse, Jean-François Payette and Marie-Ève Thouin took second place in the 2013 Carlson International Human Resources Case Competition hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Nearly 20 universities from across the globe took part in the two-phase competition. In the written preliminary round, in September, teams had to solve a case in 24 hours. Six universities were chosen to continue to the final round, from November 13 to 17. The HEC Montréal team faced off against three teams from the United States and two from China. Teams again had 24 hours to solve a case, and had to present their results to a jury of human resources experts from international firms. In addition to a trophy and certificate, the HEC Montréal delegation won a $1,200 prize.

Congratulations to all four students!
