Close to $3 million in research grants!

In the latest competitions held by the main research granting councils, i.e. the SSHRC,1 NSERC,2 FRQNT3 and FRQSC,4 22 new research grants for which the lead researcher is from HEC Montréal went to the School’s professors, for a total of nearly $3 million!
The overall success rates for these professors were:
- SSHRC 44% (Insight Development, Insight)
- NSERC 83% (Discovery)
- FRQNT 67% (Team research project, partnership-oriented research project)
- FRQSC 46% (Support for new professors-researchers, Support for research teams)
Of special note this year is the increase of nearly 40% since last year in the average amount awarded per grant to our researchers under the SSHRC’s Insight Grants program.
