Arielle Desforges wins the Relève RBC award from the AFFQ

MSc student (Finance option) Arielle Desforges (BBA 2011) is one of three winners of this year’s Relève award from the Association of Québec Women in Finance (AFFQ). The award was presented on April 24, at the annual AFFQ Gala des talentueuses. Over 600 leaders from the finance community attended this year’s gala, hosted by Honorary Chair Dana Ades-Landy, Chair of the AFFQ Board of Directors.

The award will allow Arielle to take a paid three and a half-month internship with RBC Investor Services, in Paris.

We should point out that the School often does well at the AFFQ. Last year the award went to Andréanne Simard (MSc 2012), in 2011, to Mélanie Dussarrat (BBA 2011), and in 2010, to Amélie Favaro (MSc 2011 and BBA 2009).

The AFFQ was created in 2002 to promote women’s professional advancement and highlight their strategic role in economic development in Quebec and worldwide. With nearly 400 active members, the Association is the first international chapter of the prestigious Financial Women's Association (FWA), created on Wall Street in 1956.
