HEC Montréal places 14th in the AméricaEconomía world ranking

May 18, 2012

The HEC Montréal MBA program came in 14th in the 2012 world ranking of the best business schools outside Latin America compiled by AméricaEconomía. The magazine, a standard reference for the Latin American business community, placed the School in its top 15 schools offering full-time MBA programs.

“Once again, HEC Montréal has made an excellent showing on the international scene,” says HEC Montréal Director Michel Patry, “and we have all the more cause for pride when you think that there are over 5,000 MBA programs in the world. We can definitely be happy with our 14th place in this prestigious ranking. It is a tribute to the exceptional quality of our faculty, the unparalleled return on investment of our MBA and the solid bonds we have forged with Latin America.”

The criteria used to prepare the list included the quality of faculty and the rigour of the selection process for MBA candidates. The schools’ reputation in Latin America was surveyed through interviews with business leaders there. Lastly, the ranking considered the cost-benefit ratio of each program, mainly through an analysis of the cost of living and tuition fees in comparison with the post-MBA salary increase.
