Certificate and specialized graduate diploma convocation ceremony

On Sunday, November 27, in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts, HEC Montréal saluted the accomplishments of 1,446 new graduates who have completed their certificates and 623 their specialized graduate diplomas. Close to 700 of them attended the ceremony, along with some 600 relatives and friends.

Secretary General Jacques Nantel served as Master of Ceremonies for the event, which was also attended by the program directors and academic supervisors, faculty members and Geneviève LeBrun, President of the Association des diplômés. This was the first joint award ceremony for graduates of the certificate and specialized graduate diploma programs.

The School decided on the joint format as a way of honouring graduates with an even bigger event. In addition, given the growing popularity of convocation ceremonies, a larger venue was essential.
