Eduardo Schiehll made a CMA Fellow

Eduardo Schiehll, Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting Studies, has been made a CMA Fellow (FCMA) by the Board of Directors of CMA Canada, in recognition of his professional and personal achievements and his commitment to the Quebec Order of chartered management accountants. Admission to this select group is a prestigious national distinction recognizing the exceptional qualities and achievements of CMAs who stand out in their communities and serve as role models. Only 112 individuals have earned this title in Quebec. The official award ceremony will be held on Friday, November 18, at the CMA Ambassadors Gala.

Professor Schiehll has over 10 years’ experience in teaching, and holds a PhD in Administration from HEC Montréal and an MSc in Finance from the Universidade Federal de Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. He specializes in management accounting, performance measurement, corporate governance and executive compensation. Before joining HEC Montréal in 2001, he worked as an auditor for seven years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Brazil.

 

He is a member of the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Governance and of the HEC Montréal Research Council, in addition to chairing the education and accreditation committee of the Quebec Order of chartered management accountants (CMA) and serving as Associate Editor for Corporate Governance: An International Review, a high-ranking scholarly journal.
