Eduardo Schiehll Awarded 2008 Reviewer of the Year by Corporate Governance

April 9, 2009

Eduardo Schiehll, Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting Studies, has been named the Reviewer of the Year for 2008 by the international Corporate Governance journal. The award is presented every year to a member of the editorial board in recogniton of the quality of his or her editorial work.

After evaluating impact factors for 2008, Journal Citation Reports assigned Corporate Governance an impact factor of 1.59, placing it in the top third of the 81 journals classified in the Management category.

The impact factor is important in research, since it makes it possible to measure the influence of a publication in its category according to independent organizations that survey scientific journals, such as Journal Citation Reports.

Eduardo Schiehll has been a professor at HEC Montréal since 2001, and is interested in performance management, corporate governance and executive compensation. Professor Schiehll has been a member of the peer review committee of Corporate Governance since 2007 and of its editorial committee since January 2009. He has also been published in the journal.
