The École de technologie supérieure marks HEC Montréal's 100th anniversary

February 21, 2008

In honour of the 100th anniversary of HEC Montréal, the Director of the École de technologie supérieure de Montréal (ÉTS), Yves Beauchamp, presented the School with a commemorative plaque at a reception on February 20. The plaque, unveiled jointly by HEC Montréal Director Michel Patry and Mr. Beauchamp, is made of aluminum, a reference to the School’s architecture.

As Mr. Beauchamp noted, “The fact that HEC Montréal is celebrating its 100th anniversary is proof of tremendous commitment and tenacity on the part of your School’s administration and its entire community. It is certainly also an indication of your institution’s quality and tangible evidence of its dynamic and very inspiring character.”

Mr. Patry, touched by this tribute, noted that “the ÉTS and our School have much in common. They are both schools with a unique vocation, and with strong roots in the community. They also have a number of common concerns, which has led them to join forces on several occasions.”
