Preparing for my departure

Congratulations on your admission to HEC Montréal!

The International Student Affairs (ISA) office is pleased to welcome you to Quebec!

On the pages that follow, you will find everything you need to help you prepare for your arrival at HEC Montréal. If you have any difficulties, please remember that the ISA team is there to help you.

All the administrative steps that you need to take to be able to come to HEC Montréal as an international student : passport, CAQ (Québec Acceptance Certificate), study permit, temporary resident visa and transit visa if necesary

Allow 1 to 5 months

All international students must be covered by a valid health insurance in Québec.

Step 6. Participate in the orientation week for a soft landing

Orientation program: information workshops, meetings, social activities, formalize of your admission and much more! We can't wait to see you!

Depending on your program, you will either be automatically registered for your courses or you will have to register by yourself for the classes that you want to take. Make sure you do before the registration deadline.
