International students who did not apply to renew their study permit before it expired can apply for the restoration of student status within 90 days of the expiry date.
However, after applying for restoration of status, students are not allowed to study before the status has been restored.
Therefore, HEC Montréal students waiting for the restoration of their status will see their courses cancelled if they can’t provide a valid study permit at the beginning of a term.
