Business Courses

Language requirements for business courses click here.

Exchange students are only allowed to register for the courses listed below.

Note: If you register for a course not found on the list of courses open to exchange students, HEC Montréal will not validate it. You will not be able to attend the course nor be credited for it at your home university.

To be considered a full time student, Canadian Immigration require that all international students are registered to a minimum of 12 credits (4 courses) for the B.B.A program.

The workload requirement for HEC students in a regular program is 15 credits (5 courses) per term for the B.B.A. program. A semester in the BBA program, consists of 15 weeks.

A 3 credit course is 45 contact hours (15 X 3). For each credit, students need to contribute (30 hours) of additional personal work. Therefore the required workload for each course is 45 contact hours + 90 hours of personal work = 135 hours per course.

Course number starting with:

     1 = 1st year of B.B.A.
    2 = 2nd year of  B.B.A.
    3 = 3rd year of B.A.A.

Having a laptop is mandatory to follow several courses at HEC Montréal.

Courses offered

The official course list is available about one month prior to the registration period. Keep in mind that only minor changes will apply from one semester to another so you can consult this previous list and make a first course selection that you will validate once the official list is available.

Note: Exchange students cannot take a course in a program other than the B.B.A.
