The International Student Affairs Office

The International Student Affairs Office (ISAO, or BAEI in French) is here to make sure you have the best possible trip when you come to HEC Montréal.

When you arrive in Montreal, the ISAO team invites you to attend our orientation week. At this event, specifically designed to meet international students’ needs, you’ll get help completing the administrative steps needed to formalize your immigration status, you’ll get to know more about Quebec culture, and you’ll learn some tips and tricks to make life easier in “la Belle Province” and at HEC Montréal. It’ll also be a great opportunity to meet some of your peers.

In addition to orientation week, we’ll be organizing a number of activities all year long to make it easier for you to integrate – workshops on different subjects like work permits, intercultural communication, winters in Quebec, the steps you’ll need to take to get permanent residency, and more.

We’d also like to encourage you to use your stay here to develop an open-minded spirit toward other cultures. With a view to that, we’ll be publishing an activities calendar to help you take advantage of the wealth of cultures Montreal has to offer.

The ISAO also manages the student exchange program.
