HEC Montréal added Energy Management to its activities in the late 1980s and has since graduated more than 1 560 participants from various countries in its different Energy Management programs. Many of these graduates now hold executive positions in leading oil, gas and electricity organizations throughout the world.
Since 2000, Sichuan Electric Power Corporation has been one of the HEC Montréal’s privileged corporate partners to deliver a HEC Montréal Graduate Diploma in Management of the Energy Sector in China.

This program was:

  • designed for high-potential energy sector managers seeking advanced training in order to take on senior management responsibilities more effectively,
  • delivered by professors of the highest caliber and used teaching materials developed with their recognized expertise and adapted specifically to the energy sector,
  • offered entirely in English.

The training gave participants the knowledge required for management in the energy sector, as well as more general expertise such as leadership, motivation, strategy and change management. The major issues affecting the sector, project analysis and energy system management were also covered..
