Sylvain Audette is a guest professor in HEC Montréal’s Marketing Department and an associate member of the Research Chair in Energy Sector Management. Both his research and his teaching pertain to issues related to the value creation chain in companies operating in energy markets and other industrial sectors. He has a master’s degree in measurement and evaluation and pursued his PhD studies in this area. After working as a strategy consultant for Léger Marketing for a few years, he held a succession of leadership roles at Gaz Métro in marketing, forecasting, energy efficiency, rate setting and regulatory affairs.
During his 15-year tenure as an energy sector executive, he was also a regular contributor to executive education programs at HEC Montréal, taking part in numerous training missions to China, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
