Here are a few examples of mandates you could offer them:

Public Accounting, Financial and Strategic Accounting

  • Carry out an audit from the accounting results disclosed by the organization
  • Participate in the implementation and design of an accounting tool
  • Design control systems or information systems
  • Carry out an analytical audit of the existing accounting systems

Management Control

  • Participate in the implementation of a new management tool such as activity-based costing, balanced scorecard
  • Develop new modelling costs
  • Participate in the budget process re-engineering
  • Develop new performance measurement systems
  • Participate in the in-house review of transfer pricing

Organizational Development

  • Assess or diagnose a training program, a new management tool, the impact of an organizational change, the predisposition to change or resistance to change
  • Participate in the development of a new process (future generation, training), a new program (coaching, mentoring, performance or potential assessment), a new change management or HRM monitoring team
  • Carry out an approach, a program, a project, the implementation of a change, a survey feedback

Production and Operations Management

  • Analysis of the impact of technological changes on the quality of service
  • Analysis of the balance between the company's business strategies and its operations strategies
  • Development of a system to measure the performance of supply services
  • Study of the layout of service areas, plants or warehouses/distribution centres
  • Development of an operating report for supplier performance management
  • Improvement approach to customer complaint management process

Human Resources Management

  • Proceed with a staffing or training structure assessment
  • Proceed with the evaluation of a compensation structure
  • Participate in the implementation of a new management tool
  • Realize a pay equity procedure

Financial Engineering

  • Assess and/or grade a model on the basis of empirical data
  • Implement a numerical procedure

  • Analyze or document risk management practices or investment policies
  • Design a model adapted to the specific needs of the organization
  • Analyze and summarize the best management practices and literature specific to a particular financial issue

Business Intelligence

  • Proceed with customer segmentation through one or several large customer databases and identify customers more likely to accept a specific promotional offer using these same segments
  • Use one or several large customer databases to establish, through association rules, pairs of products generally purchased at the same time (or close together).  Measure the influence that a lower price of one product has over the purchase of the associated product

Logistics

  • Participate in the design of a logistics or transportation network
  • Compare various strategies on demand forecasting and inventory management
  • Optimize vehicle routing schedules
  • Evaluate and compare warehouse layouts
  • Analyse the possibilities of outsourcing logistics activities
  • Identify the best sites for production and distribution facilities
  • Plan the logistics of humanitarian assistance missions

Management

  • Review procedures

Marketing

  • Develop a marketing plan
  • Carry out a qualitative and/or quantitative marketing study based on primary and/or secondary data

  • Assess or diagnose a marketing problem and/or opportunity and make recommendations
  • Design and develop recommendations to solve a marketing problem or to explore a marketing opportunity already identified

Business Analytics

  • Assess and/or grade one or several quantitative models on the basis of empirical data
  • Implement one or several quantitative models and/or one or several algorithms
  • Design a quantitative model adapted to the specific needs of the organization
  • Analyze and summarize a problem requiring the use of analytical management method tools paired with actual recommendations.

Information Technology

  • Document, diagnose (causes/issues/consequences) and re-engineer the business process
  • Evaluate the risks of a technology implementation project
  • Define and realize a selection process for small/medium scale software
  • Identify and define IT needs
  • Set and test software solutions
  • Model the knowledge
  • Diagnose organisational issues (e.g. bias towards technological changes)
