Why recruit at HEC Montréal?

Our European students and graduates come to us from the best preparatory schools and definitely fit an international profile with their choice of continuing their education in a large business school in America. With its leadership in technology and its international character, HEC Montréal is dedicated to training business professionals with excellent adaptation abilities, able to communicate in several languages and to collaborate with people of all walks of life. They can bring new perspectives to your team. Here is what they have to offer:

  • Technological Know-How: HEC Montréal students work with portable computers throughout their curriculum with the most up-to-date software. They also have access to more than 9,000 ADSL connections. HEC Montréal has one of the world's foremost bilingual business libraries with more than 90 databanks including 70 with Internet access. The School has a trading room where simulated transactions take place. Our graduates are therefore well equipped with the right tools to develop, implement and test their knowledge before entering the employment market;

  • Effectiveness: Our graduates reach their effectiveness as soon as they enter the employment market. They bring an innovative vision to their problem-solving skills based on the North-American approach. The action-oriented teaching of HEC Montréal gave them the ability to apply the academic notions they received during simulation sessions, competitions, case studies or corporate missions throughout their learning curriculum. Here are just a few examples:

    • La relève publicitaire: interuniversity contest in advertising design and creativity;
    • Marketing Challenge - interuniversity competition;
    • Interuniversity stock market simulation;
    • World Trade Organization Simulation;
    • Trade Games;

  • Mature and responsible graduates: Our European graduates, and in general our foreign graduates, have acquired a sense of responsibility from the very beginning of their studies. They left the comforts of home (usually between 18 and 19 years of age) to study on a different continent and learn to come to terms with daily life. Of our 3,200 foreign students and permanent residents, more than 940 are from Europe;
  • International Profile: There are over 60 nationalities represented at HEC Montréal, in both students and the teaching staff. A wide variety of courses are accessible in the three languages of NAFTA, namely French, English and Spanish; the School even offers a trilingual cohort at the undergraduate level, which has proven to be a tremendous success. HEC Montréal has also developed the most important international exchange program in management in North America. It enables students to study for a period of six months in one of our 75 partner institutions in 29 countries. This is another great opportunity to get to know another language and another culture.
