Internships: Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.E.S.S.) in Management and Sustainable Development

The Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.E.S.S.) is a graduate training program. The D.E.S.S. in Management and Sustainable Development internship entails an average of 120 to 150 hours depending on the project or mandate proposed and is the equivalent of a specialized course. Since 2006, a wide variety of organizations have welcomed our students: large corporations, SMEs, unions, community development and social services organizations, NGOs, municipalities, academic institutions, etc.

The first goal of the internship in management and sustainable development is to familiarize students with the actual sustainable development setting in organizations. During this internship, students will not only be exposed to the challenges of sustainable development but will also witness the solutions adopted by the organization in their processes, structures, actions and programs.

The internship must be previously authorized by the Program Administration and supervised by a mentor within the organization where the internship will take place. It will require a final report by the intern and a substantiated evaluation by the intern's supervisor, both reports to be handed in to the Program Administration.

You may propose an internship by either posting it on our Website or by contacting us.

Here are a few examples of mandates given to interns

  • Development and leadership of a process to implement a policy and a course of action on sustainable development;
