+  Why give? For corporations and foundations

Year after year, HEC Montréal receives unflagging support from the business community and private foundations. These funds allow it to maintain its enviable position in the leading ranks of international business schools, by focusing on its two priorities, research and teaching.

Businesses can show their support for the School in concrete ways, by:

+  Bursaries and scholarships

Creating a bursary or scholarship is another way for businesses to play an active part in educating the next generation. Various types of bursaries and scholarships are granted to deserving students every year. Bursaries are awarded to students in demonstrated financial need, to allow them to reach their goals. Scholarships are a way of recognizing top students.

Many organizations create their own endowment funds, as a way of encouraging students in a specific subject or field of expertise.

Funding these different bursaries and scholarships does not necessarily require a substantial financial contribution. There are two options open to firms and foundations, i.e. an endowment fund, calling for a considerable initial investment, or a one-time bursary or scholarship program.

Your commitment, of any amount, will inspire future generations of managers - tomorrow's HEC Montréal graduates.

+  Research chairs

Much of our investment in research at HEC Montréal goes to our different chairs, which play a vital role in advancing knowledge. There are 23 such chairs, conducting research in a variety of management fields.

Creating a research chair and supporting its ongoing activities is a very costly commitment, calling for an initial investment of $2 million. Once this amount has been converted into an endowment, it provides a regular annual source of support for the chair.

Raising the amounts needed to launch and sustain a research chair is a constant challenge, and generous supporters are essential if we are to meet these financial requirements.

For further information on financing a research chair, please contact Brigitte Dupriez, Director - Gift Request Activities, at 514 340-6285, or Jocelyne Gonthier, Director of Major and Planned Gifts, at 514 340-6958.

Customized agreements
We know that each firm is different and has its own interests, so we also make it possible to draw up customized partnership agreements that correspond to the missions of both the School and your business.

Whatever kind of support you are thinking of, and regardless of the size of your contribution, you can discuss it with us or obtain more information by contacting:
