My HEC Montréal e-mail account

As a new HEC Montréal student, you will automatically be assigned an e-mail address with the firstname.lastname@hec.ca format.

All HEC Montréal students, faculty and employees have such an address.

IMPORTANT: All HEC Montréal-related notices will be sent to your hec.ca address only.

Find out what your HEC Montréal e-mail address is

 

  • Go to HEC en ligne.
  • Under Personal information, click on Email addresses.

Enable your address

 
To enable your e-mail address,  you must change your original password (the one you received following your application).

  • In HEC en ligne, under Personal information, click on Change password.
  • Enter:

            - your student ID,

            - your original password,

            - your new password.

  • Confirm your new password.

It may take up to 10 minutes before the new password takes effect.

 

Checking your e-mail messages


You can access your e-mail account in any of three ways:  

  • Online via courriel.hec.ca.
  • Using an e-mail client (e.g. Outlook).
  • By redirecting your hec.ca e-mail to an external e-mail host.

You must always identify yourself using:

  • Your user name (your HEC email address, e.g. john.smith@hec.ca).
  • Your password (you can reset your password if you have forgotten it).
