A mosaic is an institutional-archival document. It is not meant to reflect graphic-design trends; rather, it should uphold a certain visual continuity, combining aestheticism and tradition. Toward this end, pastel colours are recommended for the background and sober typography should be used.
We ask that mosaics be printed on traditional photographic paper or on high-quality paper, with ultra chrome ink. They should be mounted on a stiff surface. Framing the mosaic is unnecessary; we will use the last graduating class’s frame.
Mosaics are sent out over the School’s website and Réseau HEC’s site. Toward this end, we will need a CD with individual photos (2½ x 3 inches) and a complete mosaic in its final form. The resolution should be 300 dpi, saved as a .tif. For reproduction requests from graduates, we will refer them to the photo company that produced the mosaic. The School will not sell reproductions.
For a mosaic to be considered for archiving, it should include a photograph of three members of the administration, i.e. the director, the program director, and the secretary general.
