Student life

Get involved in student life! Any way you look at it, it’s an enriching experience that will enable you to:

  • Develop an active social life
  • Gain experience
  • Improve your skills
  • Put into practice the theory you’ve learned in class
  • Widen your network of personal contacts
  • Start building your professional life

HEC Montréal students have an opportunity to play an active role in associations related directly to their field of studies and enrich their learning experience along the way. Whether it’s through competitions like the Meloche Monnex Marketing Challenge or the Financial Open, publishing student newspapers or organizing welcome week activities for international students, HEC Montréal’s associations and interest groups offer a wide variety of important activities. They encourage students to set their sights ever higher, and promote initiative, socialization and a sense of belonging within the HEC Montréal community.

Feel free to get involved. Go to the office of the organization that interests you and chat with its members; they’ll tell you how you can join.

Below is a brief overview of each of the associations and their committees, as well as the interest groups. Note that the content of each of the links provided below are the sole responsibility of their authors and the participating associations.

Integration activities

Each year, new students arrive at HEC Montréal and, as is the custom, the school’s student associations organize a number of activities to help these students, especially those in the B.B.A. program, integrate into student life. HEC Montréal has a code of conduct that must be honoured by those involved in helping new students integrate.

Policy on student events and alcohol
