Financing of Student Activities

Associations and interest groups recognized by HEC Montréal can make a financing request to the School in order to help them carry out their projects and activities.  

Thanks to the Fondation HEC Montréal, which maintains privileged ties with HEC Montréal graduates and corporations, the School can contribute financially towards the execution of student projects and activities. 

 

Now is the time to submit your financing requests to the Fondation HEC Montréal and the Fonds Leadership !

Realization of an academic competition 

Criteria of eligibility:

  • The subdued projects have to be of academic nature, or that the academic portion is majority within the competition. This criterion includes the side " creditable " of a project, the fact that he can be recognized by the establishment and credited.
  • The presented projects of competitions have to take place in one of three official languages of the School, French, English and Spanish.
  • The eligible projects have to have at least a sector in connection with the management or in connection with the programs offered by the School.
  • Specific for the AEMBA: any financing application for an academic competition must be supported and recommended by the direction of MBA’s program.
  • Specific for the competitions of the BAA: any financing application for an academic competition must be supported and recommended by the coordinator of the academic competitions in the BAA, Mr. René Gendreau.

 

Criteria of evaluation:

  • Number of students of the School involved in the activity.
  • Impact for the student community (number of touched students).
  • Quality of the jury.
  • Sustainability of the results engendered by the activity.
  • Significant contribution in the brilliance of the School.
  • Total cost of the project and the capacity of the activity to be self-financed in a minimum of 50 % of,its total budget.
  • Measures taken to return the ecoresponsible activity.
  • Plan of visibility planned for the Foundation HEC MONTRÉAL.

 

Participation in an academic competition

Criteria of eligibility:

  • Sectors of the competition.
  • Level of studies and specialization of the students.
  • Number of students having never participated in this competition.
  • Professor associated with the delegation.
  • Responsible for the delegation.
  • Number of actors participating in the financing.
  • Budget of the competition vs wanted financing.
  • Plan of visibility planned for Fondation HEC MONTRÉAL.

Important Note: Any student participating in an international academic competition must pay $300 per competition.

 

Activity other one than academic competition

Criteria of eligibility:

  • Specific in the AEMBA: any financing application for an activity other one than an academic competition must be supported and recommended by the direction of MBA’s program.

 

Criteria of evaluation:

  • Objectives of the project.
  • Aimed clientele.
  • Impact on the student community of HEC MONTREAL (number of students touched by the activity).
  • Number of students involved in the project.
  • Plan of visibility planned for HEC MONTREAL.
  • Sustainability of the engendered results.
  • Expected income others than the financing asked the Foundation HEC MONTRÉAL and the Fonds Leadership.
  • Balance in the budget.
