HEC is easy to get to by public transit.

• Metro : Université-de-Montréal and Côte-des-Neiges stations on the blue line
• By bus : routes 51, 129 and 119

When you take the bus, you will need either a ticket or exact change for your fare. A paid bus or metro fare entitles you to a bus-to-metro or metro-to-bus transfer that is valid for 2 hours. A bus/metro ticket gives you access to the metro only once, but you can transfer between buses several times.

Getting between HEC Montréal’s two buildings is easy. You can take the 51 or 119 bus or, if you like, you can easily walk. In fact, by using the Université de Montréal pedestrian network, you can go most of the way without having to deal with the weather.

The OPUS card is the electronical card used for public transportation for the region of Montreal. Full time students aged 18 to 25 and residing in Montreal can obtain a registered photo ID OPUS card in order to purchase and use STM tickets and reduced fare monthly passes.  Students who do not meet the criteria stated above are charged a full tariff for the monthly pass.

Make your way to the photo sessions making sure to bring the following documents with you:

• • A proof of full-time school attendance which you can obtain from the Information desk (2^nd floor Decelles building).
  • A proof of age : Health insurance card, passport, student ID card, birth certificate, driving license, etc.
  • A cash payment of $14 (at HEC Montréal) or $15 (at the STM Studio) (exact amount).

Your OPUS card will be immediately delivered to you after your picture has been taken.

Whether you can't go to HEC Montréal to take your picture, you'll have to go the the 1717 Berri, in Montreal Bus Station, metro Berri-UQAM.

For the convenience of cyclists and to encourage green transportation, HEC Montréal has installed a number of bike racks along the perimeter of its two buildings.

Côte-Sainte-Catherine Building
The bike racks are located in the indoor parking complex (accessible from Côte-Sainte-Catherine) and along the laneway between HEC Montréal and the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Urban Planning (Aménagement) building.

Decelles Building
The bike racks are located alongside the building on Jean-Brillant Avenue. Note that a large number of other racks are available at Université de Montréal, located at 3200 Jean-Brillant Avenue.

BIXI is a new public bike system which is available 24/7, from May until November. In order to take advantage of this service, you must adhere to an annual, monthly or daily subscription. Numerous BIXI stations can be found on the island of Montreal, mainly concentrated in the down-town and Plateau area. Four BIXI stations are found on the HEC Montréal campus:

• Louis-Colin / Édouard-Montpetit station
• Louis-Colin / McKenna station
• Parc Jean-Brillant station
• Hudson / Côte-Sainte-Catherine station

Communauto is a car sharing service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to be able to rent cars with Communauto, an annual subscription is required.  Rates go by the hour and according to the distance travelled. For more information, consult the company’s website.

Even though public transit, cycling and walking are the most environment-friendly ways of getting to HEC Montréal, for those times when you need to come by car, HEC Montréal has a 450-spot indoor parking lot in the Côte-Sainte-Catherine Building.
