These scholarships are awarded by the Office of the Master of Management Sciences (M.Sc.) Program Director to the best students admitted on the basis of their outstanding admission portfolios. Scholarships of $5,000 are awarded to the best M.Sc. candidates in the Thesis stream, whereas the best candidates in the Supervised Project stream receive $2,500. No application need be submitted; recipients are notified by mail.
Thesis stream
Students in the Thesis stream who complete their studies in four (4) terms or fewer automatically receive a $1,000 award. In addition, those who earn a grade of A– or better on their thesis receive an additional $2,000.
Furthermore, Thesis stream students who complete their studies in five (5) terms and earn a grade of A– or better on their thesis receive a $1,500 award.
Supervised project stream
Students who complete their masters studies, in the supervised project stream, in four (4) terms or fewer will automatically receive a $1,000 award. In addition, those who earn a grade of A or better on their supervised project will receive an additional $500.
Notes:
- The length of studies is calculated with the first term in which the student is registered to a M.Sc. class, and the last term in which the student is registered to the program. Summer trimesters are included, wether there is registration to a class or not. Make sure to submit your thesis or supervised project before the due date!
- No application is required. The graduation scholarship recipients will be contacted by the Office of the Master of Management Sciences by email.
A limited number of $2,500 awards are offered to students who complete a supervised project abroad. These awards are granted by private businesses, foundations, as well as the Office of the Master of Management Sciences (M.Sc.) Program Director, and are administered by HEC Montréal.
