This year, all Campus Abroad activities organized by the Department of International Business are open to students in the M.Sc. Program. The program lets students immerse themselves for two weeks in an international business environment and experience the cultural, political, social and economic realities of another country, under the guidance of a network of skilled faculty. Campus Abroad is a three-credit activity providing exposure to business culture through meetings with foreign business and government officials. Students will witness how the knowledge they acquired at HEC Montréal receives practical application. Above all, Campus Abroad is a memorable life experience. Objectives
|
|
The purpose of the Campus Abroad Program is to expand participants’ global awareness through the following experiential learning experiences:
Understanding a country’s economic, cultural and sociopolitical characteristics.
Comparing the business practices of the host country with those of the home country.
Integrating intercultural learning to become more engaged world citizens.
The 3-credit Campus Abroad course entails roughly 135 hours of activities, including courses, industrial and cultural visits, assignments and examinations.
Students will be evaluated using letter grades based on their degree of participation throughout the program, on group work and on individual written assignments related to the activities.
