Supervised consulting field project

Since 1997, students have carried out over 455 consulting mandates for private- and public-sector firms and for non profit organizations. For five weeks, under the supervision of a professor, students conduct an in-depth analysis of a specific business case, assess the various options open to the business, and propose cost-effective, concrete solutions.

The supervised consulting field project is a major part of HEC Montréal’s MBA program, equivalent to three of the 38 courses comprising the program. Students will dedicate 800 to 1000 hours to planning and executing the mandate, as well as to presenting the findings both in writing and orally.

The consulting project is generally offered to the One-Year MBA students only.
