For those newly admitted, the best way to start the MBA program is to follow the steps below.
Note that you do not have to register for your compulsory courses. The Administrative Office of the MBA program will complete your registration.

You have to answer to your admission offer via HEC en ligne before the reply deadline indicated at your round of application. You will also have to send a deposit of $350 (see methods of payment) for which you won’t receive an official invoice and which will be applied against tuition fees. Remember to write your student number, first and last name and date of birth on the back of your check or bank draft. Note that places are limited and reservations are not guaranteed if confirmation is received after the deadline.
International students must start their Immigration process immediately.

If you wish to defer admission to the following year, you must refuse the admission offer via HEC en ligne and indicate the reason "Deferred admission". Note that the deferral is not automatically granted. Your supporting documents are kept for one calendar year and your file will be re-analysed and compared to the files received that year.
Make sure to update your contact information in your HEC en ligne account as we may contact you either by phone, mail or e-mail before and throughout the program.
Changing your password
On HEC en ligne, click on “Change password” in section “Personal Information”.
You can reset your password if you have forgotten it.

All HEC Montréal-related notices will be sent to your hec.ca address only.
You may access your e-mails from any workstation via courriel.hec.ca or from the main page of HEC Montréal's Website, you will find the WebMail access in the “My HEC Montréal” section in the right panel.
Your courses require the use of a laptop computer configured according to HEC Montréal standards.

Urban Challenge in Montréal
As of the beginning of this program, we offer you a team building activity rich in emotion. Inspired by The Amazing Race, this entertaining program equips teams with maps, spending money and route envelopes. The Urban Challenge takes participants out of the office and into the city to discover rich heritage, interesting facts and a little more about their co-workers and themselves.
Travelling by bus, metro, foot and taxi, teams must arrive at various destinations and successfully complete tasks in order to reveal clues to ensuing locations. The team that completes the race in the fastest time wins.

Why does class extend up to 10:30 p.m.?
The three-hour class is followed by team discussions that often extend into the evening because important decisions must be made and consensus among the team members must be reached before you leave class.
Attendance is compulsory for the intensive week as it is your first course of the program.
If you are unable to attend class, you will not be authorized to continue in the program. You will be asked to postpone admission until the following year.
Registration for compulsory courses
The administrative office of the MBA program will register you in all the compulsory courses before the beginning of each term. The course schedules will be available on ZoneCours. You will proceed with your registration only for your elective courses planned from December 2017 on.
