The Student Success Office is a part of Student Services. In accordance with the Policy on the integration of persons living with disabilities (PDF - 101 Ko - in French only), the Student Success Office supports students living with disabilities during the course of their studies at HEC Montréal.

Having a disability or disorder might limit your activities during your university career. To help overcome these limitations, you can seek out personalized support and services. You can:  

• Meet with an adviser
• Receive a needs analysis of the areas you should focus on (course work, exams, etc.)
• Develop a service plan for the duration of your studies (borrowing materials, braille production, transportation between the two buildings, etc.)
• Find help for recruiting resource-persons to help with note-taking, reading, interpretation and coaching
• Find support for contacting teachers, if the need arises
• Access references to resource-persons and organizations
• Participate in workshops on finding support for your studies
• And more

Temporary disability

If, due to specific and exceptional factors (accident, injury, etc.), you find yourself in need of temporary accommodations, you must contact the the administration of your program of study.

• HEC Montréal is a member of the Quebec Interuniversity Association of Advisers to Students Living with Disabilities (AQICESH in French). AQICESH's mission is to promote the development of professional expertise among its members and the recognition of their field.
     
• HEC Montréal has struck a partnership with CEGEP du Vieux Montréal's Adapted Services for Student Integration (Service d'aide à l'intégration des étudiants - SAIDE) in order to ensure that deaf students and students who are hard of hearing have access to visual interpretation services.
