IMPORTANT: Technological issue on certain smartphone platforms are preventing some students from accessing the mandatory OPUS card attestation on HEC en ligne. There are two options:

 - Print your OPUS card attestation at home or at a School's computer lab and present it to the STM.

 - Make sure the pop-up blocking feature is disabled on your smartphone before you go to the STM.

Please note that printing will not be available at the Office of the Registrar or the Student Services.

The OPUS card is the electronic card used for public transit in the Greater Montréal area.

NEW - Effective September 1, 2017, all full-time students* residing on the Island of Montreal and attending an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEES), will be entitled to the student fee, regardless of age.

*Full-time is equivalent to 12 credits for the B.B.A., the graduate diplomas, the certificates and to 9 credits for the M.Sc programs.

Students residing on the Island of Montréal

To obtain the OPUS card, you must have the following documents:

Electronic OPUS card attestation (on HEC en ligne).

Proof of age with photo (driver's license, health insurance card, student card including date of birth or passport).

$15 (STM photo studio) or $14 (at HEC Montréal) in cash, exact change.

The photographer checks the authenticity of your documents, takes your photo and collects your payment. Your OPUS card is delivered to you on site. For more information: STM

Tour of the STM at HEC Montréal:

+  Fall Term

A tour of the STM is held at HEC Montréal for students wishing to obtain the OPUS card at the student rate.

Wednesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Côte-Sainte-Catherine Building, Manuvie Room (1st Floor - Blue Section)


+  Winter and Summer Terms

No tour of the STM is planned for Winter and Summer terms. Go to the STM photo studio to get the OPUS card at a reduced rate.

Students residing outside the Island of Montréal

To obtain the OPUS card, follow the procedures specific to your public transit in the Greater Montréal area.
