Terms of use

All subscribers of the HEC Montréal Case Centre have access to the contents of the Catalogue with the exception of teaching notes, which are reserved for university faculty whose status has been verified.

Exceptionally, an author may request that access to his material be restricted for a limited period (days to weeks), for example, because he intends to use a case in an exam and wants to control access in the weeks leading up to test. The author must make a request to the Centre via e-mail specifying the date at which the restriction should be lifted.

+  Must I pay to consult a document in the Catalogue?

Consulting the documents in the Catalogue is free of charge. One must simply be registered with the HEC Montréal Case Centre.

+  Must I pay to use a document from the Catalogue in class?

The use of Catalogue materials in a teaching context is free of charge. However, if you use a case from the Catalogue with students or learners, we ask that you inform us of such use by filling out a Case Use Declaration Form.
