Delivery timeframes

Requests for official documents generally take up to five business days to process, although certain documents may take longer.

More time may be required if there is any information missing from your file or if the information in your student record prevents us from answering right away.

Official documents will not be issued to users with an outstanding balance.

There is no charge for this service. Please note, however, that you may not request more than five documents a day.

+

Delivery

No official documents will be delivered by email.

The registrar’s office is committed to meeting the delivery timeframes listed above whenever possible. The office is not responsible for any postal delays or delivery errors.

+

Request by proxy

An authorized agent may request an official document on a student’s behalf if they produce a valid written proxy specifying the following:

  • Name of the authorized agent
  • Student’s name, HEC Montréal student number and program
  • Type of document requested.

The proxy must be signed and dated by the student.

To pick up the document, the agent must show a valid piece of photo ID.

Unclaimed documents

Documents to be picked up from the information counter at the Office of the Registrar will be kept for three months from their date of issuance, after which they will be destroyed.

When requesting an attestation, make sure you indicate any special instructions and clearly describe the reason for your request.
